Choosing the Right Mattress

Shopping for a mattress can be confusing. I am often asked, “How do you choose the right mattress?”

Budget

One consideration is budget. Buying a new mattress is not the place to skimp. You definitely want to get the best quality mattress that you can possibly afford. If you do not sleep well you are not likely to do anything else well.

Special Needs

Another consideration would be any special needs for you or your partner.

  • Does your partner toss and turn and disturb your sleep?
  • Are you waking up feeling over heated?
  • Are you experiencing pain in the back neck or hips?
  • Do you routinely sit on the side of the bed while dressing?

Comfort

Your last consideration is comfort. Does the mattress feel good to you when you lie on it? Have you taken your time and tested it in your usual sleep position?

I am trained to help you find the construction and technology that can help solve the sleep problems you may have experienced in the past. We carry pocketcoil mattresses that feature individually wrapped coils that minimize disturbance and give you your own individual support. Gel infused foams and high tech fabrics are available to handle heat transference issues and allow for a more comfortable night’s sleep. Foam encased borders on many of our mattresses give you the added support needed when sitting on the side of your bed.

At Essex Home Furnishings, our suppliers have earned their place by providing our customers with excellent quality and value. We carry mattresses manufactured by Dream Star, Dream Easy and Therapedic .
